Parents
I know you’ve heard it over and over again, but
it is very true: Parent support is so important to the success of
our programming. Research shows that children who have parental
involvement in their educational lives:
- Achieve higher grades and test scores
- Have improved student attendance
- Show an improvement in conduct and
attitude
- Have increased chances of going to
college
If you’re like most of our parents, your work
schedule is very hectic and it may be very hard for you to be at
every game, practice or event and we understand. L.E.A.D. is not
only an organization, it’s a family. Through our network of
coaches, volunteers and other L.E.A.D. families, we can
help.
Parent volunteers have many responsibilities in
L.E.A.D.:
- Providing snacks for practices and games
- Carpooling
- Participating in fundraising activities
- Volunteering at events
- Sharing L.E.A.D. with others in their communities
L.E.A.D. Parents are a vital part of the
team!
