What was your first experience with the game of baseball?
My first real experience with baseball happened on September 7, 1996 when Mr. C.J. and I met for the first time. He told me he played baseball for the Chicago Cubs and I thought he was just trying to impress me; after all I wasn't familiar with the minor league system and I knew I hadn't seen him on TV before. After a few Baseball 101 classes with C.J., I fell in love with the game for the first time- oh yeah, CJ too:-)
Who is your favorite baseball player and why?
C.J. Stewart, of course! Because he always looked good in his uniform:-)`
Tell why serving the community is important to you.
Now that I'm a mother, it's important for me to show my children that service starts where you are. You don't have to have a gazillion dollars or be a TV/movie star to make a difference. Look around, start where you are today and watch how your efforts can positively impact others.
Finish this sentence, "If I could change one thing in the world, it would be......"
...the quality of the education system. We've come a long way, but we've got so much farther to go. Think about it, we've had innovative, technological advances in everything from music to microwaves but our education system is still antiquish. The current system still assumes that all kids learn primarily through lecture when there are numerous studies that show otherwise. Just think how much more successful our children would be if we taught them in a way they could actually learn, comprehend and apply 100% of the time? Just something to think about.

AFLAC All American - Is it just me or....

The West players were very serious and stoic; the East players were smiling more and just showed more personality. So far this series has proven to be very exciting. I hope our Ambassadors are watching because being a fan and student of baseball requires you to not only practice and play the game but also watch it whenever you get the chance. Along with the professionalism, I saw a lot of mistakes as well. Thanks for your comment regarding Wesley. I want to add that Wesley has matured and grown quite a bit since being involved with L.E.A.D. I have been very proud of the way he has taken the initiative to get to practice, been very organized, and plans his activities better. I am very happy with what I have seen at home and on the field. Thank you for all of your hard work. We are seeing positive results.

Hi Kelli,

I just wanted to say hello and wish you a great week. My family and I enjoyed meeting you last week at the Braves' game! Looking forward to seeing you again and finally meeting CJ in person.
